The project team have outlined a schedule, detailed below, that will help to achieve the overall objectives of this project. Each workpackage has a number of deliverables that need to be addressed within the lifetime of the project.

In the schedule below there are two different types of deliverables:
External (D) - which are delivered to the EU, and
Internal (E) - which are internal to the project team.

These internal deliverables are used as a method to obtain a first draft of the External deliverable and make its contents available to the project team before the final version of the document is due. This gives early access to documents where there are deliverable dependencies.

Also shown in the diagram above are Milestones(M) and Trials(T)

In the schedule there are two milestones:
M1 - which coincides with the start of the first trial(T1), and
M2 - which coincides with the start of the second trial(T2).
